Hi, I’m Lisa-Maria – not only a life counselor & coach, but also highly sensitive and a high sensation seeker myself. I bring my experience and strengths to the work with people who are also looking for balance in an intense and complex life.

For years I’d lived as a high sensation seeker, constantly in search of new impulses and adventures. It was only later that I recognised my highly sensitive side, which needed peace, quiet and rest in order to regenerate. If this side is ignored, burnout is often inevitable. Finding the balance between these extremes is a challenge. My exploration of this and my chosen path as a life counselor enable me to pass this knowledge on to you!

Facts about me &

High Sensation Seeking

  • Diverse interests: From languages, creative things, reading, yoga to nature and traveling – I am constantly starting new projects and often have more ideas than time.
  • Living in extremes: I’m an all-or-nothing person. Living a life of balance is my biggest challenge – and the inspiration of bbalanced 🙂
  • Exchange with like-minded people: I love meeting new people and exchanging ideas.
  • Active relaxation: I find it difficult to do nothing, but I find peace in meditative, mindful activities such as reading, crafting, walking, etc.
  • Impulsiveness: Acting quickly and making fast decisions – that’s part of me, but I also know how to consciously control it and use it to my advantage.

& High sensitivity

  • Overthinking: Despite my impulsive nature, I am a chronic ‘overthinker’.
  • Authentically different: I used to try to fit in, but now I live authentically and confidently as who I really am: a multi-layered person full of contrasts.
  • Sensitive: Wearing uncomfortable clothes drives me crazy, and I also avoid alcohol and caffeine because I react too strongly to them.
  • Sensory overload: I quickly feel uncomfortable in crowds because I am exposed to too many external stimuli. I have developed strategies to deal with this better.
  • Deep perception: I perceive everything around me very intensely: feelings, sounds, visuals, smells – often a blessing, sometimes a curse 🙂
